Frequently Asked Questions

Q. If you are addressing the envelopes what do I need to supply and what happens if I need some extras?

A. Please supply a typed or emailed document stating how you wish the invitation to be addressed and the name and address for your envelopes i.e. Jackie & Pete- invite, Mr & Mrs P Bayley, 2 Shaw Road, Stafford. ST17 4PT. You can order at the onset some extra invitations which 'request the pleasure of your company', or if extra names and addresses are provided prior to collection date these can be made for you.

Q. Do you have a minimum order amount?

A. No we provide you with exactly the amount required from your address/place names list etc.

Q. How much deposit do you require?

A. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required by cheque payable to Celebration Writing when you place your order. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks prior to collection/posting of your final stationery.

Q. How soon should we order our Wedding Stationery?

A. As all of our stationery is handmade to order, we are limited on the number of commissions we can undertake, therefore we suggest at least 6-12 months notice, to avoid any disappointment. However if you do require it sooner please call and we will endeavour to do our best to help.

Q. When should we send out our invitations?

A. We recommend invitations are sent out 10 - 12 weeks prior to the date of your wedding, with your rsvp date being 5 or 6 weeks before your Wedding. If your Wedding is in the summer months or on a Bank Holiday you may wish to send them out even sooner.

Q. Do I need to order all my stationery at once and will I receive it all together?

A. Yes, you will need to place your original order including all your stationery requirements. Firstly we get the ball rolling by just providing your invitations. Then the rest of your stationery order will be ready 2 weeks prior to the date of your Wedding.

Q. If I wish to discuss our requirements face to face, can this be done?

A. Yes I will see customers at my office on an appointment basis, please call to arrange.

Q. Once I have received my sample and want to go ahead, what do I do?

A. Enclosed with your sample will be an order form to complete along with our terms & conditions. Return this and upon receipt we will send/email a proof of wordings for your approval. It is your responsibility to check and sign to confirm the details.

Q. Can we have our own wording and choose a style of font for our invitations?

A. Yes, you may have any wording you chose at no extra cost, we would require a typed/emailed document sent to us. Your sample will use one of our most popular fonts, however if you require a different font we shall endeavour to meet your request.

Q. Instead of sending all the invitations to us can you post them individually to each guest?

A. Yes we can do this for you. We will require payment in advance for the postage and there is an additional administrational charge of £10.

Q. Are you able to provide directions/gift list/menu information for our guests?

A. Yes if you provide all the relevant details we can produce a reply card which also has the tear off option with whatever details you wish them to keep or send back, a sample & costing can be requested.
